Imagine...

if we felt that the persona we convey was synonymous with how we truly felt and think about ourselves. Life is precious and we ultimately know this to be true. However, many of us, struggle or suffer in silence, overwhelm ourselves trying to predict the future, beat ourselves up, spend time reviewing past conversations wishing they had gone more optimally or working hard to hide idiosyncrasies, symptoms or true thoughts and feelings for fear they would be negatively received or have unfortunate consequences…we expend a great deal of energy thinking we have grave deficits, disappointed and exhausted by hiding them."

Here’s the good news

Things are not generally as bad as we anticipate, we don’t have accurate crystal balls to justify our play books and avoiding  things we perceive as potentially uncomfortable, validates their power over us. If you are motivated to stop the vicious cycle, stop blaming yourselves, situations and others and feel good in your own skin… I have the skills, heart and time to collaborate with you and make your life easier, more optimal and stress free.

While a diagnosis can clearly serve many functions or purposes – i.e., for billing, insurance companies and reference points, necessary accommodation, etc.,  search diagnosis consists of many moving parts, symptoms, frequencies and intensities.  Each facet  sits on a continuum from things we all experience every day to a more intense and frequent portrayal. If you had diabetes or a torn muscle, it would be a much more matter of fact conversation. Seeing that our brains and their abstract abilities are a much more recent development, we are highly evolved and pioneers on this front.  How our mental state, moods or ways of defending discomfort became a shameful and weak portrayal, is absurd.  Let’s deal with it, experience a little discomfort in the process  instead of just staying uncomfortable.
